MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Jessica Bracamonte has been named an assistant coach with the Central Michigan softball program.
Bracamonte had served for the past two seasons as a graduate assistant to Chippewas' coach Margo Jonker. Bracamonte's primary responsibilities will be as the co-hitting coach, and working with the outfielders.
"I could not be more elated about remaining part of this program," Bracamonte said. "I have learned so much the last couple years working for Margo, and I know I will continue to grow in all aspects. The team is great and I am looking forward to another year as a Chippewa."
Bracamonte served as a student assistant coach at Michigan State from 2011-12, after earning four letters as a standout outfielder at MSU from 2008-11.
She earned her Bachelor's degree from MSU in 2012 and was an assistant at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, Calif., in 2013 before joining CMU.
"Jessica brings energy, knowledge and a great work ethic," said Jonker, who is entering her 37th year in leading the CMU program. "Her outgoing personality has been, and will continue to be, a great addition to our program."
