Rush, Beamish & Hamilton Named FB Team Captains

MOUNT PLEASANT - Cooper Rush, Nick Beamish and Tim Hamilton have been named the permanent captains of the Central Michigan football team for the 2015 season.
The Chippewas open the season on Thursday, Sept. 3, at Kelly/Shorts Stadium against Big 12 foe Oklahoma State.
Beamish, a senior center who hails from Riverview, Mich. (Riverview High School), is the leader on the offensive line. He was a First Team All-Mid-American Conference selection in 2014 and has started every game of his CMU career (38). He maintains a 3.38 grade point average.
Rush, a junior quarterback from Charlotte, Mich. (Lansing Catholic High School), is entering his third season leading the CMU offense. He earned second team Academic All-American honors last year and maintains a 3.91 grade point average.
Hamilton, a senior linebacker from Bloomfield Hills, Mich. (Birmingham Brother Rice High School), appeared in all 13 of CMU's games last season, and made four starts. He recorded 37 tackles, including 19 solos, four QB hurries and 1.5 sacks for 11 yards last season.
CMU's fourth captain each game will be the individual who earns the honor of wearing Derrick Nash's No. 21 jersey.
