MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Former Central Michigan softball player Brittney Horan has joined coach Margo Jonker's staff as a full-time assistant.
Horan, a Rosebush native, earned four letters as a second baseman/outfielder while playing for Jonker from 2011-14. She served as a volunteer assistant with the program during the 2015 season.
"I felt that Brittney worked really well with the staff that we have and she is an extremely hard worker and finds a way to get things done," Jonker said. "We were looking for someone loyal and who knows the game and is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
"Brittney is that type of a person. She's shown already that she takes initiative and done a great job in the office as well as on the field."
Horan will work primarily with infielders and will assist with day-to-day administrative duties as well as game-day administration.
Horan is a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. She earned her bachelor of arts from CMU and is working on her master's in sports administration.
