
Allison Curtis Earns MAC Player of the Week Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan freshman Allison Curtis was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Softball Player of the Week.
Curtis, who hails from Tuscon, Ariz., hit .636 over the weekend in leading the Chippewas to a three-game Mid-American Conference sweep of Toledo.
Curtis, a right fielder who bats second in coach Margo Jonker's lineup, had seven hits in 11 at-bats, scored four runs and drove in two as CMU improved to 18-21-1 and 5-8-1 in the MAC.
Among Curtis' hits were two doubles and a triple. She totaled 11 bases and finished the weekend with a 1.000 slugging percentage.
On the season, Curtis is hitting .355 with one home run and 12 RBI. She has six doubles, has scored 20 runs and has recorded a .455 slugging percentage.
The Chippewas go to Ball State for a three-game MAC series beginning on Friday and concluding with a doubleheader on Saturday.
