
Jipping Named To All-MAC Second Team

AVON, Ohio - Central Michigan's Daniel Jipping was named Second Team All-Mid-American Conference at a ceremony on the eve of the league tournament at All Pro Freight Stadium.
Jipping, a sophomore outfielder, leads the Chippewas with six homer runs and 39 RBI, and is second on the team with a .308 batting average.
He also leads the team with 15 doubles, 42 runs and a .502 slugging percentage, and is second with a .410 on-base percentage and is tied for second with 62 hits.
Last season, Jipping earned a spot on the All-MAC First Team, and was named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team, and the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings NCAA Mideast All-Region Second Team.
The Chippewas open the tournament at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday against Miami (Ohio).
