Five Chippewas Named Academic All-MAC In Baseball

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Five members of the Central Michigan baseball team were named Academic All-Mid-American Conference by the league on Thursday.
To qualify for the team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative 3.2 grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of his team's contests. Pitchers with a 3.2 GPA are considered on a player-by-player basis. Freshman and first-year transfers are not eligible.
The five Chippewas with their year, GPA and major: Colton Bradley, sophomore, 3.51, general management; Daniel Jipping, sophomore, 3.95, finance; Jimmy McNamara, senior, 3.35, marketing; Ryan Heeke, senior, 3.78, mathematics; Sean Renzi, senior, 3.73, master's of business administration.
Bradley, McNamara, Heeke and Renzi are repeat honorees.
