
Chippewas Hit The Diamond On Tuesday

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan baseball team will begin its fall season on Tuesday when it plays host to the Ontario Blue Jays in an exhibition game at Theunissen Stadium.
Game time is 3:05 p.m. The Chippewas will begin their seven-game Fall World Series Classic on Friday, Oct. 7 at 2:45 p.m.
All games in the Fall World Series Classic – a seven-game intrasquad series -- are at Theunissen Stadium. The schedule: Sunday, Oct. 9, 1:05 p.m.; Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2:45 p.m.; Friday, Oct, 14, 2:45 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 15, noon; Sunday, Oct. 16, 1:05 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2:45 p.m.
The Chippewas’ annual Family, Friends, Alumni Parent and Player Cookout is scheduled immediately following the Saturday, Oct. 15 game, adjacent to the stadium.
The Blue Jays are an elite age 18-under team based in Ontario. Tuesday’s game agains the Chipppewas begins a nine-day U.S. tour for the team during which it will play 11 games against U.S.-based college teams.
