SETTING THE SCENE
The Central Michigan field hockey team will face Miami (Ohio) in a Mid-American Conference matchup on the road on Friday (5 p.m.).
LAST WEEK
The Chippewas are 0-15, 0-4 MAC after dropping a 7-0 decision to Kent State.
CHIPPEWA LEADERS
• CMU goalkeeper Lily Amadio has recorded 113 saves, five of which were in the first half against the Golden Flashes. Abigal Ebersole, who has 22 saves on the season, had eight in playing the entire second half against Kent State.
• The two goalkeepers combined lead the MAC in saves with 137 and 9.13 per game.
• Emily Barber leads Central Michigan in shots with 22.
SCOUTING
• Miami is 7-7, 4-0 MAC and returns to league play after splitting a pair of nonconference games last week. The RedHawks fell to No. 2 Duke, 2-0, and defeated Davidson, 4-1.
• The RedHawks are alone in first place in the MAC. A win over CMU would clinch a share of the conference championship.
• Paula Portugal leads Miami and ranks second in the MAC with 28 points (11 goals, six assists).
• Maddi Passarella has made 67 saves in goal for the RedHawks.

• The Chippewas will play host to No. 4 Michigan (13-2) on Tuesday, Oct 24 (4 p.m.) and then close the regular season at Ball State on Friday, Oct. 27.
