CMU Entertains MSU At Margo Jonker Stadium

• The Chippewas entertain Michigan State on Wednesday in a nonconference game. It is the first and only meeting between CMU and the Spartans this season.
• It is CMU's final nonconference home game. The Chippewas' last home regular-season appearance of the season is this weekend, when they entertain Ball State in a three-game Mid-American Conference series.
• CMU pitcher Hanna Warren was named the MAC West Pitcher of the Week on Monday after going 2-0 with a 0.58 last week. Included in her two wins was a 6-0 shutout of Valparaiso. It was her first shutout of the season.
• The Chippewas took two of three from Northern Illinois at home last weekend, improving to 13-5 in the MAC. They share the lead in the MAC West - and in the league overall - with Ball State.
• CMU has won eight of its last 10 games, and is 29-7 since starting the season 1-6. The Chippewas have guaranteed themselves a 30-win season for the first time since 2014, when they won at least 30 games for the fourth consecutive season.
• Jacquie Joseph, who starred at CMU from 1982-85 and is a member of the CMU Marcy Western Athletics Hall of Fame, is in her 24th season as the Spartans' head coach.
• The Spartans are 7-9 in Big Ten play and have won three of their last four starts.
