
Chippewas Host Michigan State In Nonleague Finale

• The Central Michigan baseball team will play host to Michigan State in a nonconference game on Tuesday.
• The Chippewas are coming off a Mid-American Conference series win at Toledo, during which they scored 26 runs and collected 33 hits.
• CMU sports a .285 team batting average, which ranks third in the MAC.
• Michigan State dropped two of three in a Big Ten series with Nebraska last weekend.
• Jordan Grosjean (1-3, 7.16 ERA) will start for CMU against freshman Mike Mokma (0-0, 4.05).
• The Spartans won the first meeting with CMU this season, 11-2, on March 21.
• CMU closes the regular season with a three-game MAC series at home this weekend against Ball State. The series begins on Thursday (3:05 p.m.). The Chippewas can clinch the MAC West title with one win against the Cardinals.
• The Central Michigan baseball program annual awards banquet is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at the Bovee University Center. Cost is $20 per person and includes dinner, dessert and beverages.
