The Central Michigan football team opened spring practice on Sunday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Warm temperatures and sunshine afforded coach John Bonamego's team the opportunity to practice outdoors on the stadium turf.
The Chippewas' annual Spring Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 21 at 1 p.m. at Kelly/Shorts. CMU opens the 2018 season at Kentucky on Saturday, Sept. 1. The home opener is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 8, against Kansas.
CMU finished 8-5 in 2017, earning a bid to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
