Beauvais Earns MAC Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan's Gabriella Beauvais was named the female Mid-American Conference Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational at Louisville.

Beauvais, a redshirt sophomore from Monona, Wis. won the 400-meter dash with a career-best 53.80 seconds, a number that moved her atop the MAC Outdoor Performance List.

She was the lone runner in the event to break the 54-second mark. She won by more than 4-10ths of a second. Beauvais ranks 76th on the NCAA Combined Qualifying List.

Beauvais also ran a leg on CMU's 4x400-meter and 4x100-meter relay teams, which finished third and sixth, respectively, in Louisville.
