Chippewas To Play Ball State At 8:30 Tonight

AKRON, Ohio -- Central Michigan will play Ball State in an elimination game in the Mid-American Conference softball tournament at 8:30 p.m. today, Thursday.
The game was originally scheduled for 6 p.m., but the entire day's schedule was pushed back approximately 2 1/2 hours because of unplayable field conditions early on Thursday morning.
CMU dropped its tournament opener, 8-6, in 10 innings to Toledo on Wednesday night.
The CMU-Ball State winner will play either Kent State or Ohio in an elimination game at 1 p.m. on Friday. The Chippewas are the sixth seed in the eight-team tournament; Ball State is seeded second, while Ohio and Kent State are seeded No. 1 and 4, respectively.
