
Underwood, Tolfree Earn All-Region Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan softball players Erika Underwood and Lacy Tolfree were honored on Thursday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
Underwood, a junior first baseman, was named to the association's All-Region Second Team, and Tolfree earned a spot on the All-Region Third Team. Tolfree is a senior outfielder.
Underwood, who hails from Pittsford, topped the Chippewas with a .382 batting average and eight home runs, and she shared the team lead with 29 RBI. She was named First Team All-Mid-American Conference.
Tolfree, a native of Saginaw, was second to Underwood with a .380 batting average and led the Chippewas with 60 hits and 33 runs. She also led the MAC with 27 stolen bases (in 28 attempts) and finished her career third in program history with 79 swipes.
Underwood and Tolfree are now eligible for the NFCA All-America teams.
