
Chippewas Land 9 On Academic Honor Squad

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Nine members of the Central Michigan softball team have been named Academic All-Mid-American Conference.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must have earned a grade point average of 3.200 or better and have participated in at least 50 percent of her team's games.
The Chippewas named to the honor squad (with year, GPA and major): Allison Curtis, junior, 3.450, mathematics; Maison Kalina, senior, 3.640, early childhood development; Kayla Noch, junior, 3.740, marketing; Courtney Streich, senior, 3.320, recreation and event management; Erika Underwood, junior, 3.410, sociology; Laura Vaccaro, junior, 3.91, mathematics; Rachel Vieira, junior, 3.800, biology; Hanna Warren, senior, 3.250, outdoor recreation; Taylor Weaver, senior, 3.430, sport management.
It marks the third consecutive season that Kalina, a senior, was named to the academic honor squad, and the second consecutive for Curtis, Noch, Underwood and Vieira.
