Six Chippewas Earn Academic All-MAC In Field Hockey

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Six Central Michigan field hockey players earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors for the 2019 season.
The six Chippewas, along with their year, hometown, grade point average and major: Sarah Mesko, senior, Chelsea, 3.90, neuroscience; Georgina Minta, senior, Saxmundham, England, 3.83, law and economics; Anna Riesenberg, redshirt sophomore, Davis, Calif., 3.65, mechanical engineering; Alli Huddleson, junior, Douglassville, Pa., 3.61, exercise science; Taryn Damm, junior, Ann Arbor, 3.60, physical education; Samantha Glapinski, junior, Hartland, Wis., 3.34, exercise science.
It marks the second-consecutive year that Mesko, Minta, Huddleson, Damm and Glapinski have been named to the squad.
To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in 50 percent or more of her team's games.
