Outstanding Academic Performances Highlight Fall Semester

CMU had its 42nd-straight semester with a 3.0 GPA or better.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan student-athletes turned in another outstanding performance in the classroom during the recently completed fall semester.Â

Chippewa student-athletes posted a combined grade point average of 3.169, marking the 42nd consecutive semester that the Chippewas have come in at 3.00 or better.
"Our student-athletes have high expectations for themselves to be successful in the classroom and their sport, and continue to exceed those expectations," said Zyzlewski Family Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Michael Alford. "They take seriously what a college education means and how to prepare themselves for the future. I could not be more proud of our continued success in the classroom, and the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes"

Stuart, a junior defensive tackle from Saginaw, is a neuroscience major who carries a 3.88 grade point average.

- CMU student-athletes posted a combined grade point average of 3.169 during the fall semester.
- The overall cumulative GPA of Chippewa student-athletes stands at 3.193.
- Thirty-nine Chippewa student-athletes earned a perfect 4.00 GPA for the semester and, as a result, will be named to the President's List.
- 193 CMU student-athletes finished the semester with a GPA of 3.50 or higher, earning a spot on the Dean's List.
- 319 CMU student-athletes earned a GPA of 3.00 or higher for the semester.
- The number of CMU student-athletes maintaining a cumulative 3.50 GPA stands at 176.
