Central Michigan Football announced the addition of Oge Udeogu today, a graduate transfer from Iowa State.
Â
Udeogu is a 6-3, 310-pound offensive lineman from Imo, Nigeria. He has one season of eligibility left and can play immediately.
Â
"We are thrilled to have Oge joining our Central Michigan family," said head coach Jim McElwain. "He is someone who will make tremendous contributions in our football program, in the classroom, and in our campus community. It's great to add another veteran presence into our locker room and I know he will be a great fit here at Central Michigan."
Â
Udeogu spent the last three seasons with the Cyclones. Prior to that, he was a two-year starter at City College of San Francisco. He led his squad to back-to-back conference and Northern California championships, and the 2015 California state championship. Coming out of junior college, Udeogu was ranked the 79th-best prospect on Scout's top-100 JC prospects and listed as the 17th-best junior college offensive tackle by 247Sports.
Â
Udeogu was born in Chicago, but grew up in Nigeria. He moved back to Chicago during high school, where he played two seasons at Saint Viator HS in Arlington Heights, Ill. Udeogu's parents are Raphael and Mary Udeogu.
