Thornburg comes to CMU from Purdue
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan women's basketball coach Sue Guevara announced today the hiring of Meghan Thornburg as her program's director of basketball operations.
Thornburg joins the Chippewas after serving first as the head student manager and then as a graduate assistant for the Purdue women's basketball program from 2012-19.
During her time with the Boilermakers, Thornburg worked alongside the program's director of operations. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Purdue, receiving the latter in May.
Thornbug will oversee CMU's travel arrangements and equipment along with the team's film exchange, budget, managers, and will assist with the facilitation of camps and aid the remainder of the coaching staff in the day-to-day operations of the program.
Thornburg replaces Ashlee Villarreal, who left CMU for a similar position at Georgia Tech.
