Celebration Highlights Alumnae Weekend

The 2019 softball alumnae weekend is scheduled for October 11-13
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Alumnae Weekend will take on special meaning this year for the Central Michigan softball program, as former players gather not just to reunite and reacquaint but to celebrate the career and contributions of legendary head coach Margo Jonker.
Events will kick off on Friday, Oct. 11 with a social at Hunter's Ale House, beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday's festivities will include a tailgate on "The Island" prior to the Central Michigan football Homecoming game against New Mexico State. Jonker is scheduled to be recognized for her brilliant 40-year career during the game. The weekend will conclude with first-year head coach McCall Salmon's Chippewas facing Lawrence Tech in a fall ball doubleheader at 1 p.m. at Margo Jonker Stadium.
CMU Athletics is offering all softball alumnae two complimentary football game tickets and one complimentary parking pass for the Homecoming game on October 12. Additional game tickets and parking can be purchased in advance for $12 per ticket and $15 per parking pass by contacting Ticket Central at (989) 774-3045.
A block of hotel rooms has been reserved for those interested in staying in Mount Pleasant overnight. Please contact Natalie Marshall at (989) 774-1657 or ivers1nl@cmich.edu for more information.
