Pimpleton Named To Hornung Award Honor Roll

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Kalil Pimpleton was named the weekly Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for his performance last week in the Chippewas' 52-44 loss to Western Michigan.

Pimpleton, a junior from Muskegon, touched the ball 14 times four different ways and scored four times. He had 107 yards and three touchdowns rushing; he caught three passes for 42 yards and a two-point conversion; he completed one pass for 30 yards; and he returned two punts for 15 yards. His touchdown runs covered 65, 25 and five yards.

Pimpleton was one of six offensive players/return specialists named to the honor roll this week.

The Hornung Award goes annually to the most versatile player in major college football. It is administered by the Louisville Sports Commission. Pimpleton was named to the award watch list prior to the season.
