MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Four Central Michigan football players were named to the 2020 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.
CMU's Quinten Dormady, Kaden Keon, Ryan Tice and Clay Walderzak, each of whom was a senior in the 2019 season, were named to the society, which comprises players who maintained a 3.20-or-better grade point average throughout their careers.
Walderzak, an offensive tackle who hails from Standish, was also named to the society in 2019. A Master's of Science candidate with a 3.78 grade point average, Walderzak was granted another year of eligibility because of a medical redshirt.
Keon, a punter/placekicker from St. Louis, is a mechanical engineering major with a 3.34 GPA; Tice, a placekicker who hails from Saline, graduated with a Master's of Business Administration and a 3.69 GPA; Dormady, a quarterback from Boerne, Texas, graduated in December with a Master's of Science -- Leadership with a 3.70 GPA.
The selection of the quartet of Chippewas brings to 32 the number of CMU football players who have been named to the Hampshire Honor Society.
2020 marks the 14th year that the NFF has named players to the Hampshire Honor Society. More than 1,400 players representing 364 institutions in all divisions were so honored.
