Six Chippewas Land On Phil Steele All-MAC First Team

Publication honors 13 CMU football players
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Thirteen Central Michigan football players have been named to the Phil Steele All-Mid-American Conference teams.
Six Chippewas were named to the first team, four of them on defense, two on special teams.
CMU's four defensive All-MAC First Teamers are linemen Mohamed Diallo and Troy Hairston, linebacker Troy Brown, and defensive back Willie Reid. CMU placekicker Marshall Meeder and punter Luke Elzinga were also named to the first team.
CMU's Kalil Pimpleton was named to the third team as a punt returner and to the fourth team offense as a wide receiver. Chippewa long snapper Franklin Lama was named to the third team, while teammate Derek Smith earned a spot on the third team as an offensive lineman.
Pimpleton was joined on the fourth-team offense by running back Lew Nichols III and lineman Bernhard Raimann, while defensive backs Dishon McNary and Devonni Reed were named to the fourth-team defense.
