13 CMU Field Hockey Players Earn MAC Academic Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team placed 13 student-athletes on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team for the 2021 season.
The Chippewas named to the squad, their year, their major, and their grade point average: Caroline Beairsto, sophomore, education, 3.78; Kate Biglin, sophomore, undecided, 3.50; Lauren Buffington, junior, international business and spanish, 3.98; Grace Gagliardi, senior, sport management, 3.78; Hannah Havrilla, sophomore, education, 3.99; Alli Huddleson, senior, master of science in administration, 4.00; Katie Maxim, sophomore, education, 3.37; Alice O'Hagan, junior, marketing, 3.41; BobbiMarie Parker, junior, exercise science, 3.51; Avery Periard, senior, neuroscience, 3.40; Rachel Ruttenberg, junior, broadcast and cinematic arts, 3.78; Emily Maloney, junior, exercise science, 3.47; Megan Stockreef, junior, theatre and interpretation, 3.96.
It marks the fourth time that Huddleson has earned Academic All-MAC honors and the second time that Stockreef, Maloney, Periard, Park and Buffington have done so.
To qualify for the team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have participated in 50 percent or more of her team's games.
