Field Hockey Announces 2021 Schedule

The Central Michigan field hockey program announced its 2021 schedule today.
The Maroon and Gold kick off the season with three-straight home games including a pair of Big Ten foes. The season opener is against Indiana on Friday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m. The home stand continues with Davidson on Sunday, Aug. 29, and Michigan on Sunday, Sept. 5. Both matches are at 1 p.m.
After a trip to the East Coast to face Dartmouth on Sept. 10 and Merrimack College on Sept. 12, CMU begins Mid-American Conference action at Ball State on Friday, Sept. 17, at 1 p.m. The squad also plays at Michigan State that weekend on Sunday, Sept. 19.
Central Michigan's home MAC opener comes against Kent State on Friday, Sept. 24, a 1 p.m. CMU also plays host to Iowa (Oct. 10), Ohio (Oct. 15) and Appalachian State (Sept. 29-30) this season.
Bellarmine is a new affiliate member of the MAC this season with CMU set to play there on Friday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. with a match at Saint Louis that weekend on Sunday, Oct. 24.
The MAC Tournament returns this season after not being contested last season. It is set for Friday-Saturday, Nov. 5-6, in Oxford, Ohio.
CMU went 5-7 overall, 3-6 in the MAC last season and returns eight starters including First Team All-MAC selection Alice O'Hagan.
