Cross Country Closes Regular Season At EMU

DEXTER, Mich. -- The Central Michigan men's and women's cross country teams competed in their final race of the regular season on Friday, the Eastern Michigan Fall Classic.
Both races were a 5k.
Sophomore Carson White finished 22nd to lead the CMU men. Isaac Stone placed 32nd for the Chippewas and Hong Bing Tang came in 34th.
On the women's side Sarah Storey placed 27th to lead the Chippewas, followed by Lauren Lasceski (32nd), Grace Jenkins (35th), and Ameila Gouin (36th). CMU's Lilly Evans, running unattached, placed 30th.
Neither Chippewa squad had enough runners to post a team score. Fifty-six runners comprised both races.
The Chippewas will compete in the Mid-American Conference Championships in Athens, Ohio on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Last season, CMU's Emily Paupore and Adam Rzentkowski placed 13th in their respective races to earn All-MAC honors.
