Field Hockey Falls In Season Finale

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team dropped its final game of the season, a 5-2 Mid-American Conference decision to Longwood at Cristy Freese Field on Senior Day on Saturday.
CMU ended the season 2-16, 0-7 MAC. Longwood is 5-13, 2-5.
The Chippewas' goals came from Kaitlyn Bowker and Kate Biglin. Bowker scored in the second quarter, Biglin in the third. It was Bowker's fourth goal of the season and Biglin's team-high ninth.
Maroussia Walckiers scored twice to lead the Lancers, who tallied 13 shots on goal to the Chippewas' two. CMU trailed, 8-3, in penalty corners.
Katie Maxim made eight saves in goal for the Chippewas. She finished the season with 62 saves.
