Men's Golf Closes It Out At Georgia State

DULUTH, Ga. – The Central Michigan men's golf team closed with a 308 team score on Tuesday in the final round of the Georgia State Invitational at Berkeley Hills Country Club.
The Chippewas finished with a three-round 934 54-hole total and placed 16th in the 16-team field.
Ethan Jaehn and Arie Jackman turned in the best placings among CMU golfers. Both finished with a 235 total to tie for 69th in the 87-player field. Jackman, a junior and the lone non-freshman on CMU's roster, closed with a 77 on Tuesday; Jaehn shot 88.
Philippe Yturralde matched Jackman's 77 and finished in a tie for 81st at 240. Teammate Orlando Coons also finished at 240 after closing with a 78. Jeffrey Andrus signed for CMU's low round of the day, a 76, to finish tied for 83rd at 241.
James Madison and Tennessee Tech finished tied for first place in the team standings at 867. Lipscomb (868) was third.
Jackson Keen of Tennessee Tech closed with a 67 to finish at 8-under 208 and win by two shots over Tyler Goecke of Wright State.
The Chippewas close the fall portion of the season – their first since 1985 – at the Tempest Intercollegiate, hosted by Texas State, Oct. 10-12.
