Softball Places 9 On Academic All-MAC Softball Team

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Nine Central Michigan softball players have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team for the 2022 season.
The Chippewas named to the squad with their year, hometown, major and grade point average: Kelsey Alexander, sophomore, Ypsilanti, therapeutic Recreation, 3.80; Kaitlyn Bean, junior, Oxford, communication sciences and disorders, 3.82; Caitlyn Britton, sophomore, Lake Villa, Ill., neuroscience, 3.23; Skylar Coberley, Bay City, sophomore, undecided, 3.40; Grace Lehto, sophomore, Eaton Rapids, biochemistry, 3.87; Samantha Mills, junior, Harrison Township, neuroscience, 3.56; Shannon Stein, senior, Albuquerque, N.M., biochemistry, 3.76; Abbey Tolmie, sophomore, Clarkson, exercise science, 4.00; Michaleigh Vallimont, sophomore, Trenton, marketing, 3.20.
Alexander, Bean, Stein, Coberley and Britton are repeat honorees.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better and have participated in at least 50 percent of her team's games. True freshmen and first-year transfers are ineligible.
