CMU Places 5 Women's Golfers On Academic All-MAC Squad

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Five members of the Central Michigan women's golf team have been named to the 2021-22 Academic All-Mid-American Conference team.

The Chippewas, with their year, hometown, major and grade point average: Padgett Chitty, junior, Valdosta, Ga., environmental science, 3.31; Ashley Goh, sophomore, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, interior design, 3.23; Rachel Kauflin, sophomore, Wauwatosa, Wis., statistics, 3.95; Zoe Vartyan, junior, Vienna, Austria, neuroscience, 3.91; and Claudia Salvador, sophomore, Villanueva de la Cañada, Madrid, Spain, mechanical engineering, 3.96.

Chitty and Vartyan are repeat honorees.

To be considered for Academic All-MAC honors, a student-athlete must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better and have participated in 50 percent or more of her team's tournaments. Freshmen and first-year transfers are ineligible.
