Soccer Falls At Michigan State

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State scored four first-half goals on Thursday in defeating the Central Michigan soccer team, 7-0, in a nonconference game at the Spartans' DeMartin Soccer Complex.
With four non-league games left on the docket, the Chippewas are 0-3. Michigan State advanced to 2-0-1.
CMU is scheduled to play Wright State (2-1) on Sunday, Aug. 28 (1 p.m.) at the Raiders' Rinzler Student Sports Complex.
CMU freshman goalkeeper Emma Shingler made seven saves. The Spartans finished with 14 shots on goal and had nine corner kicks to the Chippewas' one.
CMU's two shot attempts came in the second half, by Kerry Northcott in the 65thminute and Dolce Villaflor in the 89th.
