DAYTON, Ohio – The Central Michigan soccer team fell on Sunday, 3-0, to Wright State in a nonconference battle at the Raiders' Rinzler Student Sports Complex.
The Raiders (3-1) took a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute and scored their other two goals in the second half, in the 57th and 82nd minutes, respectively.
CMU freshman goalkeeper Emma Shingler made eight saves in her 77 minutes. Junior Kendall Krupiczewicz played the final 13 minutes and made two saves.
The Chippewas had three shots on goal to the Raiders' 12. Matilda Melin, Dolce Villaflor and Gaelle Wells. Wells made three shots total.
Wright State narrowly led CMU, 6-5, in corner kicks.
CMU (0-4) is scheduled to play host to Detroit Mercy on Thursday, Sept. 1 (6 p.m.) at the CMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex. The Titans are 2-1-1 after defeating Canisius, 2-1, on Sunday.
