Nichols Named Pro Football Network Preseason All-American

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan' Lew Nichols III has been named a preseason All-American by Pro Football Network.
Nichols, a sophomore from Detroit, was named to the PFN All-America second team.
It is the latest in numerous preseason honors for Nichols, who last season led the nation in rushing with 1,848 yards and all-purpose yards with 2,186. He was named to the Walter Camp Award Watch List, the Maxwell Award Watch List and is a Doak Walker Award candidate.
The Chippewas open the season on Thursday, Sept. 1, at Oklahoma State.
