Field Hockey Falls In Nonleaguer At No. 17 William & Mary

The Chippewas (1-8) are set to entertain Ball State in a Mid-American Conference game on Friday, Sept. 30 (3 p.m.) and then will welcome Saint Francis for a nonleaguer on Sunday, Oct. 2 (noon).
The Tribe (6-3) outshot the Chippewas, 26-5, and finished with a 5-3 edge in penalty corners.
Kate Biglin scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season for the Chippewas. Amelia Lane picked up her third assist of the season on the goal. Lane leads CMU in assists.
Sophomore Coletta Beeler made six saves in goal for CMU. It was her first career start.
