Women's Golf Holds One-Shot Leading Heading Into Final Round

KEWADIN, Mich. – Two-thirds of the way there. And a final 18 holes that promise an exciting finish.
The Central Michigan women's golf team shot 296-300 – 596 on Sunday and holds a one-shot lead heading into the third and final round of its A-Ga-Ming Invitational at A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort.
The defending-champion Chippewas lead second-place Oakland by one shot. Western Michigan is third in the seven-team field at 604.
CMU sophomore Casilda Allendesalazar shot 73-73 -- 146 and is tied for second place with Oakland's Bridget Boczar for second place. Alyssa DiMarcantonio of Eastern Michigan shot an even-par 71-73 – 144 and leads by two shots.
CMU's Ashley Goh is tied for eighth after shooting 75-75 – 150, and three Chippewas – Padgett Chitty, Mackenzie Baustad and Rachel Kauflin -- are tied for 12th at 151. CMU's Claudia Salvador is tied for 25th at 156.
Kauflin is playing as an individual, as are Zoe Vartyan and Ashley Liles. Vartyan is tied for 30th at 159 and Liles is tied for 41st 168. The field comprises 50 players.
