Baseball's Fall World Series Gets Underway on Thursday

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – First-year Central Michigan baseball coach Jake Sabol will get a look at his team, and so can Chippewa fans, as the program kicks off the Maroon & Gold Fall World Series on Thursday, Oct. 12 (3:30 p.m.).
The five-game intrasquad series is scheduled for the Chippewas' home park, Keilitz Field at Theunissen Stadium. The public is welcome and admission is free.
"The Fall World Series gives us plenty of great opportunities to evaluate our team in competitive environments in order to identify areas that we need to continue to address as we head into the next phase of our training," said Sabol, a former CMU pitcher who was named in June to succeed Jordan Bischel and lead the storied program. "We are excited to welcome these events back to our program and to give both the Central Michigan and Mount Pleasant communities their first chance to see the 2023-24 Chippewa baseball team in action."

Game 1: Thursday, Oct. 12, 3:30 p.m.
Game 2: Friday, Oct. 13, 1:45 p.m.
Game 3: Thursday, Oct. 19, 3:30 p.m.
Game 4: Friday, Oct. 20, 1:45 p.m.
Game 5: Saturday, Oct. 21, 11 a.m.
A postgame family and friends cookout is scheduled for after the final game of the series.
