MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—The Central Michigan-Western Michigan Victory Cannon football game scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 7 at Western Michigan's Waldo Stadium is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m., the Mid-American Conference announced. The matchup will be nationally televised on ESPNU.
The game's winner will take possession of both the Victory Cannon and the Michigan MAC Trophy. In the MAC Trophy standings, both Central Michigan (26-23) and Western Michigan defeated Eastern Michigan (45-21).
The contest also has bowl ramifications as Central Michigan (5-4, 3-2 MAC) needs one more victory to become bowl eligible. Central Michigan is in second place in the MAC West Division, while Western Michigan (3-6, 2-3 MAC) is tied for fourth place.
Central Michigan and Western Michigan will meet for the 95th time since 1905. WMU owns a 52-40-2 advantage in the series. The last time the two teams met in Kalamazoo, Central Michigan claimed a thrilling 42-30 victory over the Broncos that helped the Chippewas become bowl eligible. The Broncos have claimed three of the last four contests vs. CMU, including a 12-10 comeback win in last year's Snow Bowl at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
