Chippewas put in work on Thursday afternoon.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—The Central Michigan Football program completed its third fall 2023 training camp practice with another two-hour session Thursday afternoon under partly sunny skies at the grass field adjacent to Kramer/Deromedi Field at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
Wearing helmets and shoulder pads, the entire football team went through an intense and spirited workout. CMU started practice inside its Indoor Practice Facility then proceeded to the grass field on the east side of Kelly/Shorts Stadium. The Chippewas went through individual position drills, open field blocking drills, and special teams. The team went to 7-on-7 offense vs. defense drills, wide receivers vs. defensive backs and offensive line vs. defensive line, then back to more position drills. The Chippewas also worked on 11-on-11 offense vs. defense.
Thursday's practice session marks the third of 20 training camp sessions between Tuesday, August 1 and Saturday, August 26.
