ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio outshot Central Michigan, 17-7, on Sunday in handing the Chippewas a 3-0 loss in a Mid-American Conference women's soccer match at the Bobcats' Chessa Field.
The Chippewas slipped to 5-8-4, 3-4-3 MAC. They close the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 31 (3 p.m.) at home against Buffalo.
Ohio, which improved to 10-3-4, 5-2-3 MAC, finished with a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal and had eight corner kicks to the Chippewas' four.
Allison LaPoint made six saves in goal for the Chippewas.
