Field Hockey's Mallory Camryn earns NFHCA Second Team All-Region honors

Camryn concludes standout junior season with All-MAC and All-Region nods
MANAHAWKIN, N.J. — Central Michigan Field Hockey's Mallory Camryn has earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Second Team All-Region honors within the West region, the association announced on Wednesday.
The junior is one of 160 honorees nationally across five regions which recognizes up to 16 student-athletes between first and second teams. She is the first NFHCA All-Region honoree from CMU since 2013.
In her first season with the Chippewas, Camryn started all 17 games and led CMU with 10 goals on the season, which ranked her 3rd in the Mid-American Conference. She scored two goals in CMU's 4-1 season-opening win over Saint Louis and another two against MAC-leading James Madison on Sept. 27.
In leading CMU offensively, she earned First Team All-MAC honors on Nov. 5.
Camryn joins players from National Champion Northwestern and runner-up Michigan on the All-Region list. She is one of four honorees from the Mid-American Conference in the West region, including a pair from reigning MAC Champion Miami (Ohio).
