The junior attacker scored six times against Butler Friday, earning first career MAC weekly honor

CLEVELAND — The Mid-American Conference named Skye DePrado (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) of Central Michigan Lacrosse as the league's offensive player of the week Tuesday afternoon.

DePrado tied the program's sixth-best single-game output Friday with six goals at Butler, five of which either tied or regained a lead for the Chippewas.

The selection is the first in the career of the junior attacker, who has taken an early lead in the next generation of the Central Michigan offense. Two Chippewas earned the weekly MAC offensive distinction last season: Kelly Hoyt (March 1) and Audrey Whiteside (March 14).

Central Michigan Lacrosse pays a visit to Vanderbilt Saturday for a one-off weekend in Nashville, Tenn. First draw is set for 1 p.m. ET (Noon CT). The Chippewas open the CMU Lacrosse Complex for the 2024 season Sunday, Feb. 25 with an 11 a.m. matchup with Canisius.
