Baseball Drops Series Finale at Dallas Baptist

DALLAS – Dallas Baptist erupted for 10 runs in the fifth inning on Sunday in downing the Central Michigan baseball team, 16-3, in the finale of a three-game series at the Patriots' Horner Ballpark.
The Chippewas (3-6) dropped all three games in the series with DBU, which is ranked 24th or 25th in three national polls.
CMU next heads to Oklahoma, where it will play a four-game series with Oklahoma State in Stillwater and a two-game set with Oral Roberts in Tulsa from March 1-6.
Jack Eichler had two hits and two RBI and Danny Wuestenfeld doubled to lead the Chippewas at the plate.
Keegan Batka (0-1) started for CMU and took the loss. He allowed eight runs on five hits over four innings. He struck out three.
Evan Waters, Bryce Hellgeth and Jake Brown pitched in relief for CMU.
