MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Sixty-five Central Michigan sophomore student-athletes and 12 professionals were invited to take part in a dining etiquette program centered on education and breaking down the fine dining barriers for young professionals. The event took place on Monday, March 18 in CMU's Chippewa Champions Center.
The night began with both student-athletes and professionals listening to information on how to appropriately arrive to a dinner, proper preparation for this, handshakes and proper introductions.
After this, attendees immediately put their new knowledge to the test as they began taking their seats and greeting the other student-athletes and professionals at their tables. Once all student-athletes and professionals were seated, they were served a three-course meal, catered by Central Michigan University.
As all attendees enjoyed their meal, the education continued, this time centered on the table place setting, passing items around the table, napkin use, and much more.
