Lehto Named MAC Softball Pitcher of the Week

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Softball's Grace Lehto earned Mid-American Conference Pitch of the Week for the first time in her impressive career.
The right-handed senior was in pure form over the weekend for the Chippewas posting a 0.00 ERA leading CMU to three MAC wins over Buffalo. In her two complete games, Lehto issued just five hits to the Bulls while collecting 17 strikeouts in the three-game series.
In the 12 innings pitched for the senior, Lehto led the defense to 6 1-2-3 innings proving her efficiency in her outings. Lehto did not allow a single run to cross the plate in her two games, as the Chippewas held the Bulls scoreless all weekend. Lehto held the Bulls to a .125 batting average over the three games as she recorded her 15th and 16th career shutouts. The two games Lehto pitched, the Chippewas won in 6 innings in run-rule fashion.
