MAC Football to Host 2024 Kickoff at the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Annual event and media day to take place on Friday, July 19 in Canton, Ohio.
CLEVELAND, Ohio—The Mid-American Conference (MAC) will host its annual 2024 Football Kickoff event on Friday, July 19 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio from 9 a.m. ET to 1:30 p.m. ET.
The MAC Football Kickoff Event launches the 2024 season, which officially begins when Central Michigan hosts Central Connecticut State before Labor Day weekend on Thursday, August 29 and concludes with the 2024 MAC Football Championship Game at Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday, December 7.
CMU Head Coach Jim McElwain and two select Chippewas student-athletes will travel to Canton for the event. The event will also feature MAC Commissioner Dr. Jon Steinbrecher and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
MAC Football fans around the country will be able to watch the live show previewing the upcoming 2024 season and will also have the opportunity to interact with the head coaches, student-athletes, and the conference office regarding the kickoff.

CMU concluded spring drills on Friday. The Chippewas begin fall camp late in the summer and opens its 2024 football season at home on Thursday, August 29 against Central Connecticut State. The Chippewas will play six home games, including four before mid-October.
