Women's Golf Heads to Penn State for Nittany Lion Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Central Michigan women's golf team heads to Penn State this weekend for its second tournament of the season.
CMU joins 13 other teams including the host Nittany Lions in the tournament, which will be played on the Penn State Blue Course. The course plays to par 72 over 6,423 yards.
Also in the field: Akron, Central Arkansas, Columbia, Delaware, Harvard, Jacksonville State, Princeton, Richmond, Seton Hall, Towson, Yale and Youngstown State.
The Chippewas finished third in the 14-team field at their season-opening A-Ga-Ming Invitational two weeks ago.
Ella Zanatta, a freshman playing in her first collegiate event, led the Chippewas by tying for first place with a 54-hole 222 total. She lost on the fifth playoff hole to Bradley's Caroline McConnell.
CMU's other top finishers were Hailey Katona, who tied for fifth, and Rachel Niskanen, who tied for 19th.
