2025 Men's Basketball Promotions Schedule Announced

Toilet Paper Toss is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31 vs. Bowling Green (7 p.m.); promotions scheduled for each and every home men’s basketball game.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's 2025-26 Men's Basketball schedule features 15 games at McGuirk Arena, each with a promotional theme. The Chippewas have already played two home games with another tonight (Wednesday) vs. Olivet at 7 p.m.. Here is a look at the 2025-26 season's promotional schedule for the rest of the season:
SEASON-LONG PROMOTIONS
Kids ages 12 and under are invited to shoot free throws on the court following each game (visitor's side). Visit Fan Central in the Events Center Atrium to snag CMU sport schedule posters and themed giveaways. A Kids' Zone will be set up on the North concourse featuring a coloring station and themed kid-exclusive offerings such as crafts and small giveaways.
Wednesday, Dec. 17, vs. Olivet—Holiday Sweater Night (7 p.m. tipoff)
Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite holiday sweaters as the Chippewas host their final home game before the holidays. Holiday-themed decorations will line concourse with inflatables and character cutouts, a holiday photo station will be available on the concourse, and the game will feature a halftime holiday sweater contest. Giveaways include can koozies.
Tuesday, Dec. 30, vs. Ohio—Gold Out (3 p.m. tipoff)
Fans are encouraged to wear gold to see Central Michigan host Ohio in its first Mid-American Conference home game. A New Year's photo station will be set up with props. Giveaways include gold pompoms and gold "3" cards.
Saturday, Jan. 3, vs. Toledo—Youth Day/Superhero Day (3 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: CMU Alumni Association
Youth are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero as Central Michigan will play its second MAC contest. In addition, youth will have the opportunity to place their names in a raffle at Fan Central, youth ages 12 and under will form a high-five tunnel when the team takes the court with additional themed in-game promotions. The Chippewas will host a post-game autograph session in theJohn Kulhavi Events Center atrium. Giveaways include a CMU Athletics coloring poster.
Saturday, Jan. 10, vs. Kent State—Dino Day (3 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: MyMichiganHealth
CMU Basketball celebrates Dino Day as it hosts a dinosaur-themed contest for youth. Youth can stop by the Kids' Zone to participate in a dinosaur coloring page contest and a face painter will be set up on the concourse during pre-game. Giveaways include Dino-themed t-shirts.
Tuesday, Jan. 20, vs. Ball State—Nugget Night (7 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: Members First Credit Union
In Central Michigan's first conference home game with students back from Winter Break, Central Michigan will introduce Nugget Night, where CMU students will receive free chicken nuggets while supplies last. "3" cards will also be available at Fan Central.
Tuesday, Jan. 27, vs. Eastern Michigan—Battle of the Classes (7 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: McLaren Central Michigan
As part of the Battle of the Classes, Central Michigan students will compete against each other in promotions as each class has a designated color to wear (seniors – maroon, juniors – gold, sophomores – grey, freshmen – white). The class who brings the most people out to the game will receive free pizza at the women's basketball the following night. Giveaways include maroon, gold, white, and grey pompoms for each class.
Saturday, Jan. 31 vs. Bowling Green—Toilet Paper Toss (7 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: Meijer
For the fourth consecutive year, Central Michigan will host its annual Toilet Paper Toss and White Out. Toilet Paper will be provided by Meijer as fans will participate in the tradition of throwing toilet paper on the floor before the game. All fans are encouraged to wear white. Giveaways include white pompoms with a Toilet Paper Toss handle imprint and white LED foam sticks. Plus, the first 250 students through the doors will receive a free dinner courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings. Additional details regarding the event timeline and game day promotions will be announced in the coming weeks.
Saturday, Feb. 14, vs. Northern Illinois—Hoops and Hearts Doubleheader (5 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: Mount Pleasant Convention & Visitor's Bureau
In celebration of Valentine's Day and part of a doubleheader at McGuirk Arena with the women's team (1 p.m. tipoff vs. Western Michigan), Central Michigan will host Hoops and Hearts. Upon entrance, students will take a wristband to indicate if they are single or taken; singles are encouraged to sit together in a designated spot in the student section. Giveaways include a CMU Men's Basketball Valentine's Day cards. A ticket bundle is available for both games.
Saturday, Feb. 21, vs. Western Michigan—McGuirk Madness Doubleheader/Senior Night (5 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
In McGuirk Madness fashion, Central Michigan will celebrate Senior Night as the Chippewas host their second straight Saturday doubleheader. The 2025-26 seniors will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony and the Detroit Pistons Extreme Team and mascot Hooper will perform at halftime. Giveaways include rally towels, senior "3" cards, and "Beat Western" buttons and stickers. Fans are encouraged to purchase a ticket bundle for admission to both games (women's 1 p.m. tipoff vs. UMass), as the Extreme Team and Hooper will be available for autographs and photos with fans between games.
Tuesday March 3, vs. Akron—Student Appreciation/Traditions Night (7 p.m. tipoff)
Game Sponsor: Middle Michigan Development Corporation
Student appreciation night will honor and thank the students for their support all season long. The game will feature a student raffle at Student Central and the annual halftime Saginaw Indian Tribe drum ceremony. CMU students will receive free pizza while supplies last.
