Chippewas to host five home games in 2025: home opener vs. Wagner (Sept. 20); MAC opener vs. Eastern Michigan (Sept. 27), Homecoming vs. UMass (Oct. 25), Buffalo (Nov. 12), and Toledo (Nov. 29); play seven road games at San Jose State (Aug. 28), at Pittsburgh (Sept. 6), at Michigan (Sept. 13), at Akron (Oct. 4), at Bowling Green (Oct. 18), at Western Michigan (Nov. 1), and at Kent State (Nov. 19).
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Five home games, including four Saturday contests, highlight Central Michigan's 2025 football schedule as CMU Athletics and the Mid-American Conference announced dates for the Chippewas' upcoming season on Wednesday morning. Central Michigan and the MAC will announce kickoff times and television appearances at a later date. Central Michigan's entire 2025 schedule can be found at this link.
2025 Central Michigan Football season tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 10 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased or renewed through Ticket Central at www.cmuchippewas.com or by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at (989) 774-3045. Lock in your tickets for the best seats at the best value. More details on season ticket renewals will be e-mailed out to season ticket holders in the coming days.
New Head Coach Matt Drinkall's Chippewas will play five home games at Kramer/Deromedi Field at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Central Michigan will play its home opener against Football Championship Subdivision opponent Wagner on Saturday, Sept. 20. The Chippewas will open MAC play with a home game vs. Eastern Michigan for CMU & You Day on Saturday, Sept. 27, host UMass for Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 25, along with Buffalo (Wednesday, Nov. 12), and Toledo (Saturday, Nov. 29).
Central Michigan will also play seven road contests in 2025. The Chippewas open their season with three straight road games: at San Jose State (Thursday, Aug. 28), at Pittsburgh (Saturday, Sept. 6), and at Michigan (Saturday, Sept. 13). MAC road games include at Akron (Saturday, Oct. 4), at Bowling Green (Saturday, Oct. 18), at Western Michigan (Saturday, Nov. 1), and at Kent State (Wednesday, Nov. 19).
After playing mostly Saturday games, the Chippewas begin their MACtion schedule on Wednesday, Nov. 12 vs. Buffalo.
Seven of the Chippewas' 2025 opponents played in bowl games last season including Bowling Green (68 Ventures Bowl), Buffalo (Bahamas Bowl), Michigan (ReliaQuest Bowl), Pittsburgh (GameAbove Sports Bowl), San Jose State (Hawaii Bowl), Toledo (GameAbove Sports Bowl), and Western Michigan (IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl).
Tickets for Central Michigan's 2025 non conference games, including the Saturday, Sept. 13 contest at Michigan are on sale now. Chippewa Athletic Fund members will have the ability to purchase a limited number of tickets based on donation levels shown below until June 10th. Seating allocation at all games will be based on current CAF donation level. Tickets are $60.00 each for CMU's game at Michigan and are $30.00 for the San Jose State game. Pittsburgh ticket prices have yet to be set. Tickets for these three games can be purchased online at www.cmuchippewas.com or by calling the Chippewa Athletic Fund at (989) 774-6680.
Purchasing a ticket reserves your spot in the CMU seating section at these away games and tickets will be mailed later. Tickets can also be picked up prior to kickoff at Visiting Team Will Call at each respective stadium.
CAF MAXIMUM NON-CONFERENCE TICKET PURCHASE QUANTITY BY GIVING LEVEL
Central Michigan's NFL Pro Day is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11 at the Indoor Athletic Center's Turf Bay beginning at approximately 10 a.m. The Chippewas open spring practice on Tuesday, March 18. The 2025 Spring Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12.
