Chippewas Open Football Training Camp

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—The Central Michigan Football program opened its fall 20252 preseason training camp with an intense two-hour morning practice session Wednesday at Kramer/Deromedi Field at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

Sporting helmets and shoulder pads, the CMU Football team went through a spirited outdoor workout in 84-degree temperatures. The Chippewas went through individual position drills, open field blocking drills, and stretching. The team went to 7-on-7 offense vs. defense drills, wide receivers vs. defensive backs and offensive line vs. defensive line, then back to more position drills. CMU also worked on special teams.

Wednesday's first practice marks the first of 22 training camp sessions between Wednesday, July 30 and Saturday, August 23. The Chippewas will scrimmage two times during fall camp.

Central Michigan Football season tickets can be purchased or renewed for as little as $95 for the Chippewas' five home games in 2025. Fans purchasing season tickets will have the opportunity to receive the exact number of tickets to attend Central Michigan's road game at Western Michigan in Kalamazoo on Saturday, Nov. 1. For example, if a season ticketholder has purchased four season tickets, they can receive up to four tickets to the Western game. Tickets for Central Michigan's 2025 non-conference games, including the Saturday, Sept. 13 contest at Michigan are also on sale. Tickets are $60.00 each for CMU's game at Michigan, $30.00 for the San Jose State game, and $20 for the Pittsburgh game. Tickets for these three games can be purchased online at www.cmuchippewas.com or by calling the Chippewa Athletic Fund at (989) 774-6680.
