Softball Releases 2026 Schedule

Central Michigan Softball will play three non-conference series, host four Mid-American Conference series at home and welcome Michigan for a non-conference mid-week match-up.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's softball program has announced the 2026 season schedule. The Chippewas open the season February 6th against Marist in Charleston, S.C. in the Charleston Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern and the College of Charleston.
CMU will travel to three tournaments between February 6th and March 8th, before opening Mid-American Conference play at Bowling Green.
In Charleston, CMU will take on Marist, George Mason, Siena, St. John's and College of Charleston. The Chippewas will play at the University of Minnesota Tournament February 20-22, held at USA Bank Stadium. There, CMU will take on North Dakota State, Iowa State, LIU and the host Golden Gophers.
The Chippewas will continue non-conference play with a double header at Belmont on February 27th before heading to Austin Peay to play Stonehill, Southern Indiana and the host Governors.
The final stretch of pre-conference play will be a four-game series with USC Upstate, played in Madeira Beach, Florida.
CMU will play the first MAC series of the season at Bowling Green, the first of five road conference series, including Ohio, Western Michigan, Buffalo and Akron. MAC foes of Ball State, NIU, UMass and Maimi (OH) will visit Margo Jonker Stadium for series with the Chippewas.
Central Michigan will open the season at MJS hosting Ball State on March 20th.
The University of Michigan will travel to Mount Pleasant to play Central Michigan on April 14th for the lone home non-conference game.
Mid-season non-conference road trips that include Michigan State on March 31st and Notre Dame on April 21st.
May 6-9th is the Mid-American Conference Tournament, that will be held at Firestone Stadium in Akron, Ohio.
